About this workshop

Why this workshop

Food shapes our lives on multiple levels—from our intimate relationship with our bodies to our cultural heritage and the ways we collectively define, reproduce, and interact with the landscapes we inhabit.

It is for this reason that making effective food policies is extremely difficult.   More and more cities are turning to Food Policy Councils (FPCs) to develop coherent food policies that impact across sectors like health, education, markets, welfare, and urban planning and the environment (See Milan Food Policy Pact 2015).

However, how can FPC really unleash their real potential and help local administrations rethink food systems from the ground up?

This workshop aims to focus on the challenges that FPC face every day, calling for the wide participation of FPC representatives from all over the world to discuss in a safe environment their experiences, successes, failures and work in progress.

Please check our program to explore the topic discussed and book your participation to the rondatale.
